Privacy Policy
Last updated May 8, 2026.
WhoCaresHere is built to give you nursing home research without asking for an account or a payment. This Privacy Policy explains what limited data the site processes when you use it.
Information we collect
- Searches you perform. When you search for a facility, your query is sent to the federal CMS API to retrieve matching records. Searches are not stored in our database, are not associated with you, and are not used for advertising.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider may log basic request information (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, URL requested) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained briefly and not used to build user profiles.
- No user accounts. We do not ask for an email, name, or any other personal identifier to use the site.
- No tracking cookies. The site does not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies. We use cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns only.
How we use the information
Search queries are used solely to retrieve and display facility information from the CMS federal database. Server logs are used only to keep the site running and protect it from abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share search queries with third parties for advertising or marketing. Queries are forwarded only to the federal CMS API at the moment you search, and only to retrieve the results you requested.
Your choices
- You can use the site without identifying yourself. No login is available or required.
- Because we do not store searches or build user profiles, there is no data to access, correct, or delete on our side.
- If you have questions about your privacy, contact us via the contact page.
Children
WhoCaresHere is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top.
